This shot is from one of my early, deliberate “photo walks.” I was wandering through a park, looking for anything to catch my eye. As I passed the base of this hill, my attention was focused elsewhere, but finding nothing interesting I turned to see the two figures, already half way up the hill. I composed and shot as quickly as I could, wanting to capture them before they reached the top. I saw the gull flying into frame, but wouldn’t know until I developed the film how well positioned it was. Sometimes you just get lucky.
